Highlights

8 days
 Day
1:
You will be met on arrival and transferred to your centrally located
hotel. You have the rest of the day free to relax and adjust to
the frenetic pace and humid heat of Bangkok.
Day
2:
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Luang Prabang. In the
afternoon a take walk up Phousy hill for an fantastic view of
the city and its surroundings – especially memorable at
sunset.
Days 3-4: This morning
we visit the famous Tham Ting caves at Pac Ou. Along the way we
will stop to visit several villages. At Pac Ou we cross the Mekong
River to visit the most famous caves of Laos, the Tham Ting Caves
that house thousands of Buddha images. We return to Luang Prabang
by slow boat along the Mekong River. After our return take a walking
tour of the most impressive temples of Luang Prabang, including
Vat Vixoun, Vat Sene, and Vat Xiengthong amongst others. Dinner
at 3 Nagas restaurant will introduce some of the culinary specialties
of the region.
Day
5: Transfer to the airport for the short flight
to Vientiane, Laos’ peaceful riverside capital.
 Day
6: Today will be spent visiting the highlights
of Vientiane including Wat Sisaket, That Luang and the Morning
Market. Dinner at Tamnak Lao.
Day
7: After a free morning in Vientiane, cross the
Friendship Bridge to Thailand in time for your overnight sleeper
train to Bangkok.
Day 8: Your trip
ends on arrival back in Bangkok.
