Day
1:Your trekking guide will meet you in
the lobby of your Chiang Mai hotel at 18:00 this evening.
Day 2: Depart by
songtaew (open trucks with 2 benches) along a picturesque drive
stopping at a waterfall for lunch. After lunch continue driving
the mountainous route to a natural hot spring where there is time
to bathe before continuing by foot to a Karen village where you
will spend the night. (Trek approx 3 hours).
Day 3: This morning
it is a 3 hour trek through the dense forest to another Karen
village, where you have lunch. In the afternoon continue by elephant
for 2 hours through the forest to the Lahu village where you will
spend the night.
Day 4: Set out on
the Mae Tang River by bamboo raft, the trip is about 2 hours.
Ending at a Shan village where you will have lunch, there is also
time to explore the beautiful surrounding landscape. Return to
Chiang Mai by songtaew in the late afternoon.
Day 5: Spend a day
at the famous Chiang Mai Thai Cookery School for a full day cooking
course.
Day 6: Depart –
transfer to airport or train station included
